Path Planning for Multi-UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing Framework Using Reinforcement Learning in Urban Environment Disaster Scenarios

PROJECT SUMMARY

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are significantly used in a various field, including disaster relief and rescue operations. The goal of path planning is to determine the shortest or most efficient route while using the least amount of energy and resources possible. In environmental disaster scenarios, multiple UAVs can be deployed in search and rescue operations to look for individuals that are trapped in the disaster areas.

IMPACT

Using multiple UAVs in search and rescue operations saves time, reduces cost, improves safety, and enhances the effectiveness of rescue teams, particularly in natural disaster zones, urban search and rescue (USAR) missions, remote or inaccessible areas, and large-scale industrial accidents
